Born to be Punny
Jade has always loved to draw and create. She has also always loved jokes, riddles and a clever pun. Her first business was "Jade's Jems", where she combined her love of drawing with a good pun.

At just nine years old, Jade joined her first market, selling “Jade’s Jems” - a collection of hand-drawn DIY glass magnets, each featuring a handwritten pun. She worked so hard on every piece, and sold them all.
Made by (the amazing) Jade
As she got older, Jade wanted to try more challenging projects. She began hand-stitching keychains but quickly discovered that a perfect whipstitch takes patience. Cleverly, she adapted her creations into punny greeting cards, and her business name evolved to “Made by (the amazing) Jade.”

It starts with a sketch
Next, she began expanding her card collection, experimenting with new ideas. But, not every sketch worked - her least successful creations so far? A dinosaur… and an octopus that luckily became a jellyfish.
Punbelievably creative
You can still find Jade making, creating and selling her cards at farmers markets on the Sunshine Coast, alongside her older sister, Sew Lucy. These days, she’s usually crafting with a black cat curled up on her lap.
